Erica Zap creates stunning jewelry utilizing an array of interesting materials: metal mesh electroplated with 14K gold, silver, rhodium, and other metals, leather cut into intricate shapes and designs, semiprecious stones and pearls combined with geometric shapes in metal. These are but a few of the modern elements you can find in an Erica Zap Designs piece of jewelry.
Erica takes her inspiration from the arts and crafts of diverse cultures. Growing up, her parents owned an international handcraft shop where she gained an appreciation for various materials and textures. She went on to study and earn a BFA in gold and silversmithing at S.U.N.Y New Paltz.
Erica Zap Designs is based in Rhode Island where the line is all made by hand. Erica spends much of her time traveling across the country participating in craft fairs and selling her jewelry directly to her fans. Erica’s jewelry can also be found in museum shops and specialty boutiques, like Falmouth Road in Geneva, IL.
